The Directors, Trevor and Simon met on a mountain biking skills course and quickly realised their shared passion for bikes, combined with Simon’s business acumen and Trevor’s event experience and local knowledge, presented a unique business opportunity.

 Trevor:
With a proven track record in local Manufacturing management, Trevor (aged 36) has been instrumental in the growth and development of a company in the Tees Valley area.  Responsible for business performance of a large team, he has streamlined efficiency and developed employees at all levels, successfully increasing output by 15% year on year.
 

With proven experience in organising road race events and knowledge gained from competing in similar endurance mountain bike events over the past seven years, he aims to fully utilise this knowledge and experience of the team, ensuring success.

 

Involved in setting-up and running two local Chapters road race events held at Stokesley.  A 65 mile course was designed around the area with the maximum possible 80 riders attending each event.  Trevor liaised with local Police and the British Cycling Federation to assess and maintain course safety for both events.

 

Trevor is fully committed to the ideas we have, how to achieve the best possible results and that as a team we will succeed in providing a series of events that will stand-out on the national race calendar, and will be high priority on any riders, racers annual plans.  He has no doubt that the demand will increase annually due to trends in demand for this style of event.  As the team’s anchor man, he intends to fully involve local enterprises to support any events to aid their growth.

 

 

Simon:

Simon (aged 37) developed his core skills (initially IT) at various blue chip companies including Dunlop & United Biscuits.

 

Within the leisure industry he became Business Development Director, organising exhibitions, hospitality events, undertaking marketing and PR. He won various industry awards including website of the year. During this time turnover doubled to four million pounds.

 

During the past two years, Simon has taken a career break, combining the project management of his grade II listed home with the childcare of his young family.

The completion of this project and the fact that his children have started school, means Simon is keen to combine his two passions; business and mountain biking.
